Brad Climpson has spent more than 25 years living and working in tropical Australia, where his career began with the Great Barrier Reef as both a playground and a living laboratory. With a degree in Marine Biology and Zoology from James Cook University, Brad developed an exceptional understanding of marine ecosystems before beginning his expedition career aboard ships in northern Australia in the late 1990s. Since then, his passion for the natural world has taken him from neighboring Papua New Guinea to the polar regions, including Antarctica.

A brilliant marine biologist and naturalist, Brad has a remarkable ability to make complex subjects fascinating and accessible. While marine environments remain his specialty, he is equally curious about terrestrial wildlife and has trekked through dense rainforests and vast polar landscapes in search of animals in their natural environments. An accomplished scuba diver, underwater photographer, and experienced boat handler, he brings a wealth of firsthand knowledge to every expedition.

Brad’s jovial nature and deep enthusiasm for the natural world make him a wonderful expedition leader and educator. He loves sharing his knowledge with travelers, whether explaining the intricate workings of a coral reef, interpreting wildlife behavior, or helping guests better understand the environments they are exploring.
