Kelsey Simmons has traveled to all seven continents and more than 90 countries since beginning her career in expedition travel in 2013. As a field leader, she has led curious travelers across the world, from the Arctic and Antarctic to the Black, White, Adriatic, Baltic, and Mediterranean Seas, as well as Australia, the South Pacific, Central and South America, Southeast Asia, Europe, and Northern Africa. The Arctic and Antarctic hold a particularly special place for her, having led her first expeditions to these remote regions in 2014.

Known for her attention to detail, warm personality, and genuine enjoyment of bringing people together, Kelsey loves creating experiences that feel seamless, engaging, and memorable. As co-owner of Miru Adventures, she brings her field experience into the company’s trip operations, field staff management, and creative and visual direction, with a particular focus on making sure the guest experience is thoughtful from beginning to end.

When she’s not traveling or working on the next Miru journey, Kelsey enjoys island life on Whidbey Island, where she can usually be found exploring the outdoors, working on an interior design project, or dreaming up her next adventure.
