Chris Stamper

SAFARI GUIDE & WILDLIFE SPECIALIST

“Leading guests into the natural world and witnessing its great events
is one of the most rewarding honours on Earth. It also happens to be great fun.”

Chris Stamper began his career as a professional safari guide in South Africa more than 20 years ago, and Africa has remained at the heart of his work ever since. He especially loves tracking wildlife, understanding animal behavior, and birding—three passions that continue to shape the way he guides. His experience has also led him into guide development and training, working with aspiring safari guides in South Africa, Kenya, and Tanzania.

Chris has a remarkable ability to bring the African wilderness to life. Whether tracking animals on foot, watching wildlife from a game vehicle, or sharing stories around a campfire, he encourages travelers to look more closely and understand the world unfolding around them. His goal is to make each person’s experience feel personal, adapting the journey to individual interests while sharing his deep knowledge of Africa, its wildlife, landscapes, and people.

Over the course of his career, Chris has led safaris throughout much of Africa, including Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and South Africa. His enthusiasm for the natural world is infectious, and he takes genuine pleasure in helping travelers discover the wonder of Africa—often creating the kind of memories that stay with them for a lifetime.
