Growing up along the shores of South Florida, Jon developed an early fascination with coastal and tropical ecosystems. This interest led him to become a scuba diving instructor and to pursue a degree in Marine Biology from the University of Miami.

He began his career in eco-tourism development, where he worked to build programs that connected travelers with the wildlife and habitats found at incredible destinations around the world. His work ranged from developing a conservation-based homestay in a remote Fijian village to serving as the resident marine biologist at a luxury resort in the Maldives.

After witnessing a mass coral bleaching event in 2016, Jon shifted his professional trajectory to focus on reducing environmental impacts within the private sector. He went on to complete a master’s degree in environmental science and management, specializing in corporate sustainability, and has since worked with mission-driven startups to develop environmentally responsible products across diverse industries.
Whether he is underwater, in a classroom, or guiding travelers through remote coastlines, he finds immense joy in helping others form deeper connections with nature. His greatest reward is witnessing the moment someone forms a genuine connection with the wild world around them.
