DAY 1

Bangkok, Thailand

Arrive in Bangkok and transfer to the Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel for overnight.

DAY 2

Bangkok / Luang Prabang, Laos

Board our flight to Luang Prabang. In the evening, make the short trip to a nearby village where we have the opportunity to participate in a traditional Baci Ceremony.

DAY 3

Luang Prabang

On a half day city tour, visit the Royal Palace Museum, the beautiful Heuan Chan Heritage House, historic Wat Xiengthong, the Traditional Arts & Ethnology Centre, and an elephant sanctuary.

DAY 4

Luang Prabang

Enjoy incredible views from the top of Mount Phousi, take a stroll through the Pha Tad Ke Botanical Gardens, and cruise down the Mekong to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves.

DAY 5

Luang Prabang / Siem Reap, Cambodia

Partake in the daily morning ritual of ‘Tak Bat,’ or giving alms to the monks, continue to the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfall, and we’ll learn about rare Asiatic black bears at the Bear Rescue Centre. Transfer to the airport for our flight to Siem Reap.

DAY 6

Siem Reap

Spend a full day visiting the amazing ancient temples of Siem Reap: Angkor Thom, with the massive smiling faces of the Bayon Temple; the Baphuon, a temple mountain built in the 11th century; the Terrace of the Elephants, used for royal audiences and public ceremonies; mysterious Ta Prohm; and most famous of all the temples, Angkor Wat.

DAY 7

Siem Reap

Visit a floating village on Tonle Sap Lake, then browse a variety of high-quality products at Satcha Handicraft Center which supports local artisans in the creation of traditional crafts. 

DAY 8

Siem Reap / Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Fly to Ho Chi Minh City in time for lunch at a local restaurant, then check in to the Park Hyatt, located in the heart of this dynamic city. The rest of the afternoon is free to explore on your own.

DAY 9

Ho Chi Minh City

Depart overland for the Cu Chi Tunnels and explore this network of tunnels there were once equipped with meeting rooms, kitchens, bunk rooms, and even hospitals. Return to Ho Chi Minh lunch on your own, then embark on a tour of historical sites, including Independence Palace and the War Remnants Museum.

DAY 10

Ho Chi Minh City / Danang / Hội An

Board our short flight to Danang, then continue to Hội An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As we stroll along the small streets, admire grand 19th-century Chinese houses, the famous Japanese pagoda bridge, a Chinese temple, and the well-preserved house of Tan Ky, then take a relaxing cruise along the Thu Bon River for amazing sunset views.

DAY 11

Hội An / Huế

Depart overland for Huế via the scenic Hai Van Pass, then embark on a city tour including the Imperial Citadel and the Lan Vien Co Tich (Enchanting Garden House). Tonight enjoy dinner at a restaurant of your choice, Huế is famous for its royal cuisine and unique culinary traditions and offers everything from elegant 5-star dining to busy street food stalls.

DAY 12

Huế

Visit the majestic Thien Mu Pagoda, set on the banks of the Perfume River; the tomb of Emperor Tu Duc, one of the most beautiful sites of Huế; and the serene Tu Hieu Pagoda, home to a community of Zen Buddhist. Enjoy lunch during a private cruise along the Perfume River. 

DAY 13

Huế / Hanoi

Board our flight to Hanoi and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, join a walking tour of Hanoi’s Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake, a leafy oasis where we can observe locals going about daily life. After the tour, the evening is free to sample sone of the area’s many excellent eateries. (B,L)   

DAY 14

Hanoi

Today spend a full day touring including Ho Chi Minh's traditional stilt house, the One-Pillar Pagoda, the Ethnology Museum, and the Temple of Literature (Van Mieu). After this, meet a water-puppet craftsman at his home, learn how the puppets are made, and watch a private show.

DAY 15

Hanoi / Depart

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your independent homeward flight.
